House rental on Captiva Island

The house has been in our family for over 25 years- we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. It is at the end of a quiet cul de sac in the small community of Sunset Captiva, a short five munute walk to Captiva Village.

Sunset Captiva is a private community of 49 homes with private access to both Pine Island Sound and the beach on the Gulf of Mexico. The beach is just a three minute walk from the house. The homes share a well maintained heated pool, tennis courts, and several gas barbeques. The house is supplied with a complete and functional kitchen, comfortable living area,master bedroom with a new king size bed, guest bedroom with 2 twin beds, double sofa bed & 3 baths, a complete home office with wireless, a DSL line and an all-in-one printer, scanner and fax machine, several TV’s, and a DVD player.

We have also supplied our guests with fishing rods and tackle, and some chairs for the beach. While you’re there, you will enjoy our extensive orchid collection and citrus grove. We have some 75 orchids growing in our arbor- so a few of them are bound to be in bloom during your visit. If any of the grapefruit, oranges, lemons, or limes are ripe, you are welcome to enjoy them.
